270 miles north of San Francisco in beautiful Siskiyou County, Lake Shastina
is a thriving community with its own fully staffed water, sewer and police
departments, and a volunteer fire department. Its panoramic beauty is home
to many varieties of
wildlife, flora and fauna. Dominating the landscape is the friendly giant, majestic
Mt. Shasta (summit elevation 14,162').
Covered in snow year round, it provides quiet respite from a hectic life. Lake
Shastina provides a heavenly place to ski, hike, camp, and fish while also offering
a place for peaceful reflection.
Lake Shastina has been in development for over 40 years. It started as a second home recreation area in 1968, and has evolved into a community of retirees and families. Lake Shastina has been ranked as one of the top 100 places to retire in America. The development offers paved roads with underground power, sewer, and water services along with our own Fire and Police Departments. Administrative services are provided by Lake Shastina Community Services District.
