The Lake Shastina Community Foundation is sponsoring an “Oktoberfest” Dinner-Dance on October 16th at the Lake Shastina Community Center (6:00 p.m.). It will be a German Style Dinner and will feature entertainment with a German flavor. Paula Reynolds has planned a wonderful evening of entertainment. Gerry Smida will begin the evening with his German music. As the night progresses, he will be joined by the “Chick” band to play Rock and Roll and Dance tunes. Ticket sales will be limited so plan ahead. Tickets will be available at The Day at Hoy Park, in the office, or by calling Glyenn or Kay Short. Mark your calendars and get your tickets now! The cost is $20.00 for one or $35.00 for two.
The dinner will be catered by our own Lake Shastina Chef, Mabel Stewart, owner of “Shasta Fresh Decadence.” She is preparing a gourmet meal of German specialties.
Special features will be a Silent Auction for services that will be provided by individuals. If you would like to offer a service for the auction please let us know. All service donations are tax deductible. The services can be as simple as “dog sitting for a weekend” to donating your professional service. There will also be a Dessert Auction and we would appreciate a donation of your favorite dessert.
All tax deductible donations will be used by the Foundation for improvements to the Lake Shastina Community.
